1. Data Controller
The data controller for all Krokanti Software products and services is Krokanti Games SL, a company registered in Spain. You can contact us regarding any data protection matters at hello@krokanti.com. As a Spanish company operating under EU law, we are fully subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Spanish Organic Law on Data Protection (LOPDGDD).
2. Data We Collect
We collect only the data necessary to provide our services. This includes: account information (name, email address) when you create an account; usage data (pages visited, features used) through privacy-respecting analytics; payment information processed securely through Stripe (we never store your card details); and any content you create within our products (notes, tasks, CVs). We do not collect data for advertising purposes, and we do not sell or share personal data with third parties for their own marketing.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data exclusively to: provide and improve our services; process payments and manage subscriptions; send transactional emails (password resets, billing receipts, important account notices); respond to support requests; and generate anonymous, aggregated analytics to improve our products. We will never use your data for behavioral advertising or sell it to third parties.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on servers provided by Vercel (hosting) and Neon (database), with infrastructure located in regions that comply with GDPR requirements. File storage uses Cloudflare R2. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures including access controls, regular security reviews, and encrypted backups. We retain your data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes.
5. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under the GDPR, you have the right to: access your personal data and request a copy; rectify inaccurate or incomplete data; erase your data ('right to be forgotten'); restrict or object to processing; data portability (receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format); and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@krokanti.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or your local supervisory authority.
6. Cookies
We use a minimal number of cookies necessary for our services to function. These include session cookies for authentication and preference cookies for settings like language and theme.
